Day 10: I’ve been doing this for 10 days!!!!
As much as I want to feel bad because last night I ate two corn tortillas with cheese and had three glasses of Pinot noir, I can’t feel bad! I’ve been changing my life for 10 days!!! According to some experts it takes 14 days to form a new habit, and I am almost there!
I am loving this journey, the conversations it has sparked with old friends, and the community I am starting to find myself a part of.
Days 11-14 will be a bigger challenge since I’ll be traveling and not cooking my own meals. But I have to find a way to mostly make it work since this is real life.
P.S I think the reason why you don’t drink in phase one and two is because you end up getting the munchies at terrible hours of the night.
Day 10 menu:
Breakfast: two scrambled eggs
Snack: strawberries and coffee
Lunch: a spinach salad with mushrooms, chicken, carrots, broccoli, peppers, and black beans (I accidentally ordered the black beans). For dressing, balsamic vinegar and olive oil.
Snack: a few almonds
Dinner: a bunless burger
Post dinner: three glasses of wine and two homemade corn quesadillas. THIS IS NOT part of phase one.
BTW- the wine and cheese are making me super nauseous— my body is rejecting it.
