Day 20: a challenge or a change?
My good friend Art pointed out that I have been cheating a lot and asked whether I am really even on a diet? I guess not, I am not on a diet. I am on a journey to change my life, my choices and my body. It took me 30 years to get here, it took me two years to put on the 20lbs I am trying to lose now. It is a challenge, and maybe I suck at the challenge. But change is happening, I am down 8lbs in 20 days, and I feel good. Maybe I could have lost more lbs but then I would not think this sustainable for life. I look at these 40 days a a jump start and as training— I am learning what to eat, how to cook it, and how to still indulge some times without having to feel guilty.
Day 20 menu:
Breakfast/lunch : tomato, onion, goat cheese omelet and Applegate Farms all natural turkey bacon.
Dinner: incredibly delicious coconut basil curry chicken.

Post dinner: a little muffin, and way too much champagne— it was a great party.
